Christine Debrouwer was a standout cross country runner for the Royals from 2006-2009. In 2006-2007, DeBrouwer was named the Redeemer Female Athlete of the Year. She finished her career with three top ten performances at the OCAA Championships, with her best coming in her final season placing 5th at OCAA's.
Christine also led her team to two bronze medal finishes at the provincials. In two CCAA national championship appearances she finished in the top 25 with a 23rd (2006) and 21st (2007) place finish.
DeBrouwer was also named OCAA Team Ontario in 2008-09. She was Royals Rookie of the Year (2006-07) and two-time Team MVP (2007-08, 2008-09). In 2008-09 she also received the Redeemer Scholar Athlete of the Year Award.
