Johnston, a third year Kinesiology major, had an outstanding week for Royals women's soccer team leading them to a 0-0-2 record. On Tuesday after the Royals starting goalie was injured, Johnston who is regularly a starter in the midfield, stepped up and went in goal Wednesday night for the first time since grade 9.
In two games, the 5-foot-2 goalkeeper posted a 0-0-2 record including a 0-0 shutout versus Mohawk in her university debut, turning aside all nine shots she faced.
