Everything is on the line on Wednesday as the Royals Volleyball teams head to Sheridan College to face the Bruins in their final league game of the season. Both games have huge playoff implications as the men's team are fighting to finish 4th which would secure them a home playoff game while the women are battling for their playoff lives. A win and they are in, a loss and they are out. The Royals are asking their fans to come on out and support them by making the short trip to Sheridan College.
Another great reason for fans to make the trip is that the night will also include a fundraiser in which all proceeds from the event will go to the Sick Kids hospital foundation. The fundraiser event is set up in memory of Francesca Pento, a mother of a Sheridan Student-Athlete who recently lost her life to cancer. There will be an opportunity to donate $2 at the door.
If the Royals men's volleyball team wins their match, they will host a playoff game on Saturday night at Redeemer at 8pm. The winner will move on to the OCAA Provincial Championships. If the Lady Royals win they will travel to an OCAA East Region team in a crossover playoff with the winner advancing to the OCAA Provincial Championships. If the Lady Royals lose, their season will be over.
The women take the floor at 6pm with the men following at 8pm. The games are held at the Sheridan Trafalgar Campus.
