Not only did Redeemer secure a win on Thursday night against their West rival Mohawk College, Eric Heidbuurt had a record-breaking night with 9 blocks for the Royals. The 9 blocks sets a new benchmark for the Redeemer Royals Men's Volleyball program as Heidbuurt overtook a number of alumni sitting with 7.

The blocks came in a very strong defensive effort for the Royals against a tough Mohawk Mountaineers team. The Royals as a team finished with an impressive 19 blocks overall.

The new standard set by Eric, bumps Alumni middles Aaron VanderLught, Christian Vandergeest, and Shawn Klingenberg all into second place with their 7 blocks in a match. Head Coach Brad Douwes currently sits next in the record books with 6.
