After a strong showing earlier in the week against the Conestoga Condors, the Redeemer Royals Men's Volleyball team (OCAA 1-1) struggled to keep pace with the Sheridan Bruins on Saturday afternoon. The Bruins dominated the first two sets on their way to a 3-1 victory against the visiting Royals 25-12, 25-13, 22-25, 25-20.

Redeemer will have a week to regroup and fix their holes as they prepare for the Humber Hawks (OCAA 2-0) who will visit the Royals on Friday night in the home opener.

Eric Heidbuurt (Waterdown, ON) was the only Royal in double digits in the contest with 15 points from 9 kills, 1 ace, and 5 blocks. 1st year Nico DeBruyne (Smithville, ON) played well for Redeemer totalling 7 kills on just 13 attempts.
