Four wins and two loses highlighted a busy weekend for Redeemer's league sport teams. As the 2014 year begins to wind down, a number of victories down the stretch will prove very valuable for Redeemer heading into the playoff push in 2015. No more valuable the a pair of wins for the men's basketball team this past weekend in a big trip out to Sault Ste. Marie.
13 points was the difference for the Royals as that was the total points that separated themselves and Sault College in the back-to-back games on Friday and Saturday. Redeemer followed up a 71-60 victory Friday night with a 2 point win on Saturday afternoon, 81-79 in a match that went down to the wire.

Calvin Turnbull (Burlington, ON) recorded his 5th straight double-double by way of two strong performances including a season high 31 points and 17 rebounds on Friday night and 18 points and 13 rebounds on Saturday afternoon.
With the two wins, the Royals climbed the OCAA West division standings to as high as 4th place this weekend but have settled now in 5th place after all Sunday games were completed. Redeemer maintains a record of 3-4 and will look to move to .500 on Friday when Redeemer travels to Sheridan College to face the 4-4 Bruins.
The Lady Royals secured their first win of the season in a dominating game against Sault College on Friday night. Redeemer walked away with an 83-55 win fueled by 27 points from

On Saturday, the tables turned as the Cougars picked up their first victory of the season in a 73-61 win over Redeemer. Redeemer's
Arica Price (Fort McMurray, AB) led all scorers with 20 points.
The Lady Royals record moves to 1-6 as Redeemer lands in a four-way tie for 7th place. Redeemer will be fired up to improve their record and chase the 6th and final playoff position when they face the 5-3 Bruins on Friday night.
