The Redeemer Royals Women's Basketball team put together a very solid three quarters on Thursday night against Niagara College but poor shooting in the fourth cost the team a victory heading into the break.
The Lady Royals shot 57% in the 1st qtr, 64% in the 2nd, and 44% in the 3rd before struggling in the 4th shooting just 11% going 1-9 from the field. The team appeared to run out of steam, falling 87-72.
Lindsay Moffatt (Hamilton, ON) led all scorers with 28 points while
Kayla Suriani (Hamilton, ON) added 12 and
Esther Weima (Nepean, ON) chipped in 10.
Redeemer will look to reverse their fortunes in 2015 having lost a number of close games in the 1st semester. The Lady Royals will need to work hard to string together a number of wins to get back into the playoff picture starting in January.
They will get their first crack at the win column on January 9th when Redeemer welcomes the visiting Sheridan Bruins.
