The Redeemer Royals outscored the Fanshawe Falcons 30-29 over the 2nd and 3rd quarters on Wednesday night in the teams season opening game. Unfortunatley for the Royals, their inconsistencies cost them as they were outscored 49-25 in the 1st and 4th quarters.
The unstable play cost the Lady Royals as they found themselves on the losing end of their first game of the season to the host Falcons 78-55.Â
A game-high 18 points and 11 rebounds from Redeemer's
Jesseca Brown wasn't enough as the Royals could put together just 9 points in the final frame after pulling the game within reach as the 3rd quarter finished.Â
Despite the loss, The Royals showed positive signs for the 2015-2016 season. Redeemer had offensive production from 8 players against Fanshawe.
Moving forward, the Royals will need to work towards minimize turnovers and matching their opposition on the glass.
Redeemer will take the experience and use it as they hit the road next Wednesday in their second season match.Â
