The Royals women's basketball team stopped a two-game losing skid on Saturday with a victory against the University of Toronto (Mississauga) Eagles 72-64. With the road win, the Royals improved their record to 3-4 and a tie for 6th in the West.
Coming off of back-to-back defeats, the win is good timing for the Lady Royals heading into an important stretch to close out the 1st semester. Redeemer will travel to face the 6-1 Fanshawe Falcons on Thursday before hosting the 3-3 Sheridan Bruins on December 1st before heading into the Christmas Break.
The Royals held the lead against UTM for the entire match except for a brief period right before and after halftime. A 13-3 run to start the third quarter proved to be the big difference in the game, putting Redeemer up for good.
