Royals defeat Fleming in straight sets to advance to Provincial Championship

The Redeemer Royals Men's Volleyball team is headed to the Provincial Championship! The Royals advanced to the Finals after a clean 3-0 win over the Fleming Knights on Saturday afternoon in a playoff crossover match.

It will be the first trip back to the Championship for the men's volleyball team since 2013 in which the Royals won OCAA bronze.

After a tight beginning to the first set, Redeemer took control winning it 25-19. From there, Redeemer used the home crowd to back them to two dominant set wins, 25-17 and 25-14.

After spending the last two most recent crossover matches on the road, and finding themselves on the losing end, the Royals seemed comfortable at home, leaving no doubt that they are a legitimate medal contender this season.

The Royals will open the Championship, hosted by Mohawk College, against the #2 seed from the East, the Durham Lords. The match gets underway on Thursday at 3pm.
