ROYALS LOOKING TO BOUNCE BACK AFTER TOUGH START

Mohawk hands Royals 3 straight loss in Hamilton rivalry game

It's been a tough start to the season for the young women's soccer team. The Royals dropped a 6-0 decision to Mohawk on Tuesday night to start the 2017-18 season 0-3.

Redeemer heads out on the road on Saturday looking to reverse their fortunes when they visit the Fanshawe Falcons for a 12pm kick-off.

With still 7 games remaining in their league schedule, the Royals have plenty of time to turn things around. Redeemer will face each of the 3 teams they have already played (St. Clair, Fanshawe, Mohawk), looking to even up the series, as well as Niagara and Lambton at home and away.

Tuesday's match saw the Royals go down early with goals against in the 5th and 10th minute. Mohawk added 2 more before the half (25', 45') and put the game out of reach in the second half with goals in the 75th and 86th minute.

Redeemer's Cara Nash and Meaghan Woolsey split time in goal, each recording 6 saves over 45 minutes of play.
