Redeemer's Men's Soccer team will look to secure their spot in the upcoming Provincial Championship this Saturday in a winner-take-all match against the UTM Eagles. The winner of the crossover playoff match will punch their ticket to the Final 8 Championship, hosted by George Brown College, October 25-27.

The two teams will meet for the first time this season. With the Royals finishing in 3rd place in the OCAA West Division with a record of 5-3-2, their path to the Championship goes through the Central opponent Eagles. The University of Toronto team finished the regular season in 4th place in the OCAA Central Division with a record of 2-6-2.

The Eagles secured their spot in the crossover match against the Royals after defeating the Cambrian Golden Shield 6-0 in their final match of the season. The Royals were guaranteed 3rd place in their division, following the final matches on the OCAA West schedule. 

The Eagles had a 2-3 record on the road in 2018 while the Royals were undefeated at home with a mark of 3-0-2. 

Kick-off is set for noon at the Royals Soccer Complex.
