Despite eight made 3-pointers by Redeemer's
Jessica Angelini, the Royals fell Wednesday night to the Sheridan Bruins in OCAA Women's Basketball. Angelini finished with a team high 24 points in the 82-67 loss.
Redeemer entered Wednesday's gamer under staffed, with 3 regulars sitting out. Head Coach Jesse VanHouwelingen had just 6 available players for the match due to a number of key injuries.Â
Even with just one player coming off the bench, the Royals kept pace with the 3-2 Bruins, never letting the game get out of control.
Griffin Lack-Shane added three triples for the home team as well, finishing with 20 total points.Â
Theresa Brown had a game-high 26 points for Sheridan.Â
After falling behind 24-14 after the first quarter, the Royals rallied, outscoring the visitors 16-15 in the 2nd and 20-18 in the 3rd. Unfortunatley, with just 6 players seeing the court, the Royal's couldn't hold on in the 4th, giving up 25 points, scoring 17.Â
Redeemer will now sit idle until the 21st of November when the Royals host the 0-5 Niagara Knights. Game time is 6pm.Â
