Redeemer men's volleyball falls to Falcons 3-0

ANCASTER, ON - The Redeemer University men's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 (17-25, 19-25, 14-25) decision to the Fanshawe Falcons Wednesday night at the Redeemer Athletic Centre in non-conference action.
Leading the Royals offense was fifth year
William Winkelhorst (Newcastle, ON) who registered seven kills. Third year
Brett Jenkins (Peterborough, ON), second year
Caleb Joosse (Peterborough, ON) and first year
Derick Breukelman (Burlington, ON) finished with five, four and four kills respectively. Second year setter
Andrew Van Dyke (Guelph, ON) added 20 assists and five digs.
Fanshawe was led by Jack Voght who registered eight kills and Tanner Paterson who finished with six kills. Sebastian Lethbridge finished with 22 assists in the road victory.
For the match, the Royals hit .140 registering just 23 kills with 16 errors on 50 attempts. Fanshawe hit .306 finishing with 25 kills and 6 errors on 62 attempts. The Royals finished with six serve aces to the Falcons seven.
The Royals next action is this weekend when they take part in the Mohawk College Invitational in Hamilton. They open the OCAA regular season at home on October 21st when they host the Fanshawe Falcons.
