Redeemer women's volleyball sweeps Boreal 3-0

The Redeemer University women's volleyball team (2-0 OCAA) opened the weekend with a 3-0 victory over Boreal College Friday night on the road. The Royals swept the Vipers 25-8, 25-15, 25-18.
Leading the Royals offense was second year
Rachel Annett (Melbourne ON) who finished with eight kills. First year
Avery Surette (Barrie, ON) contributed with six kills, five digs and four services aces. Fifth year
Victoria Pancucci (Stoney Creek, ON) and first year Alanna Heidburt (Stoney Creek, ON) both contributed with five kills each. Second year setter
Julia Koksanowicz (Hamilton, ON) finished with a career high 24 assists, four aces and four digs.
Boreal was led by Maddisson Loiselle who recorded five kills and 13 digs.
The Royals finished with 27 kills, three errors on 95 attempts for a .253 hitting percentage. Boreal added 19 kills with 10 errors on 51 attempts for a .176 hitting percentage.
Redeemer is in action tomorrow at 1pm when they take on the Cambrian Golden Shield in Sudbury.
