Redeemer men's basketball falls to Warriors 77-60

adeyemi-action1WATERLOO, ON - The Redeemer University men's basketball team fell to the Waterloo Warriors by the score of 77-60 on the road Thursday night. 

The Royals trailed by 10 after one quarter and by 17 at the half 37-20. Redeemer would bring it within 10 points (55-45) at the end of 30 minutes, outscoring Waterloo 25-18 in the quarter. The Warriors knocked down nine free throws in the final quarter to secure the win.

Redeemer had two players in double digits led by first year Parker Davis (Hamilton, ON) who added 15 points and fourth year Steven Adeyemi (Las Vegas, NV) who contributed with 13 points and five rebounds.

Waterloo had four players in double figures, led by Andrew Ethan who added 15 points, including 4-for-5 from three-point land.

For the game, Redeemer shot 33.9% (21-for-62) from the field, 26.3% (5-for-19) from beyond the arc, and 86.7% (13-for-15) from the free throw line. Waterloo won the rebound margin 37-24.

The Royals return to action October 15th when they host the Georgian Grizzlies at 3pm.
