Knights down Redeemer women's basketball 71-62

ANCASTER, ON - The Redeemer University women's basketball team (4-4 overall, 2-4 OCAA) fell to 2-4 in conference play as they dropped a 71-62 decision to the Niagara Knights at the Redeemer Athletic Centre Saturday night.
The Royals had three players reach double figures led by second year
Karyn TeBrake (Ottawa, ON) who registered 18 points. Off the bench, second year
Kayla Simmonds (Hamilton, ON) contributed with 12 points while fourth year starter
Jessica Angelini (Hamilton, ON) finished with 10 points and nine rebounds. First year
Talia Vreugdenhil (Frankford, ON) grabbed 12 rebounds and collected five points in the loss.Â
Leading Niagara was Janee Harrison who scored all 19 of her points in the first half, including five three-pointers. Jamira Rousseau added 16 points, six assists and six rebounds in the victory.
Redeemer went 24-for-66 (36.4%) from the field, 4-for-22 (18.2%) from beyond the arc and 10-for-18 (55.6%) from the free throw line. Niagara shot 35.1% (26-for-74) from the floor, including 8-for-27 (29.6%) from three-point land. They were also 68.8% (11-for-16) from the charity stripe.
The Royals returns to action next weekend when they are on the road at Humber November 26th.
