ROYALS DROP FIRST SET, RALLY BACK TO TOPPLE BRUINS

The Royals dropped the first set on Friday night in a matchup against the Sheridan Bruins but responded by winning the next three for a 3-1 victory. Redeemer improves their record to 3-1 with the victory.

The Royals started the match slowly and the Bruins took advantage. The Bruins were able to secure the first set with a score of 25-18. The Royals were able to bounce back from the first set loss to take control for the rest of the game. Despite missing 22 serves, the Royals were solid everywhere else on the court. Redeemer outscored the Bruins 69-54, with 52 kills to the Bruins 39. Redeemer finished the match with 11 blocks to Sheridan's 7. The Royals also added 51 assists to the home team's 36.

It was a big night for the Royals 4th-year veteran Brayden Stoffers who recorded 21 kills on 37 total attacks for a percentage of 0.54. Stoffers also added 3 blocks for a total of 24 points on the night. Brett Jenkins and William Winkelhorst supported Stoffers each recording 13 total points on the night. The team's strong offensive effort was led by Jason Wildeboer recording 46 assists. Daniel Wolfert led both teams defensively recording 14 digs.
