Royals men's basketball drops 79-74 decision to Surge

ANCASTER, ON - The Redeemer University men's basketball team dropped a 79-74 decision to the St Lawrence College Surge at the Redeemer Athletic Center Friday night.
The Royals led 20-18 after the opening 10 minutes and trailed by three, 40-37 at the half. Redeemer were down 55-52 after three quarters. In the fourth quarter, St Lawrence put together an 8-0 run en route to the five point road victory.
The Royals had four players in double digits led by
Armeen Fazelipour who registered 18 points.
Robert Mannella added 12 points while Steve Adeyemi and
Alex Naovarath chipped in with 11 and 10 points respectively.
St Lawrence's offense was led by Michael Richards who added 15 points. Andrew Dietrich and Abdul Sheikh both chipped in with 10 points each in the win.
The Royals return to action Saturday afternoon versus Niagara County Community College. Tip-Off is scheduled for 3:00 p.m at the Redeemer Athletic Center.
