Royals men's basketball falls to Humber 89-56

ANCASTER, ON - The Redeemer University men's basketball team dropped a 89-56 decision to the Humber Hawks Wednesday night at the Redeemer Athletic Centre.

Humber jumped out to an early 15-2 lead and led 22-12 after one quarter. The Hawks extended their lead to 42-26 at the half. In the third, they doubled up the Royals to go up 66-39, en route to a 33-point victory.

Humber had three other players in double figures led by Jalen Menzies who recorded 17 points. Kwabena Antwi and Kyle Brown-Fazekas chipped in with 15 and 13 points respectively.

Alex Naovarath led all Royals players with 12 points. Robert Mannella chipped in with nine points in the loss.

For the game, the Royals shot 31.0% (18-58) from the field, 13.6% (3-22) from three-point land and 77.3% (17-22) from the free throw line. Humber went 31-64 (48.4%) from the field, 9-23 (39.1%) from beyond the arc and 18-23 (78.3%) from the charity stripe.

Redeemer will be back in action again Saturday December 2nd at 6pm when they host the Canadore Panthers.
