Wilson comes to the Royals from Olympiacos Toronto Academy and Francis Libermann CHS. Last season he played for the Scarborough Rangers where he registered 23 goals and 12 assists in 37 games. At the club level, he helped lead his team to back-to-back CSL championships (2022, 2021) and the CSL Cup Title (2022). He was second in CSL scoring in both 2021 and 2022.
At Francis Libermann CHS, Wilson was a four-sport athlete competing in soccer, track and field, cross country and volleyball. In 2022, he was named Team MVP in both soccer and Track and Field.
"I am most looking forward to getting to work with Coach Hahn and Coach Sloots who are both amazing coaches and to work with this group of brothers who are dedicated to being student athletes with a Christ-first mentality," said Wilson.
"Kieran is a stand-out young man full of Christ-like character and team character," said Redeemer men's soccer head coach
Matt Hahn. "From the first contact with Kieran to the first time meeting him and getting to work with him his character stood out. He will be the guy who shows up early and stays late. Who studies the game and asks questions and will work hard on and off the field. He has a Christ-first mentality that translates into a team-first one. On top of his character, he brings size, speed, and skill to play at this top level at Redeemer. He is a versatile player who can play anywhere in the middle and even on the wings when and if needed. I am excited to have work with Kieran over the next four years and watch him develop as a soccer player and a young man. We are so excited to have him at Redeemer."
Brown comes to Redeemer from St. John Paul II High School and his current club Olympiacos Toronto Academy. In 2022, he helped lead the Scarborough Rangers to the CSL League Title and were crowned the CSL Cup Champions. He registered five goals and six assists.
At St. John Paul II High School he was a three-sport athlete competing in soccer, track and field and cross country.
"I look forward to building relationships with those around me and more importantly helping the team the best I can to win every time we step on the field," said Brown. "I love the environment, and I'm glad I made the right decision to be a Royal!"
"Zion has a real spark on the field with an impressive highlight reel to show for it," said Hahn. "Zion has shown his interest and desire to play for Redeemer early on. I am so excited to have passionate players who want to be at Redeemer. He loves the Lord and has already been an encouragement to me and my family as he prayed for us and our newly born baby girl. Zion is a direct player who possesses a lot of speed and one v one ability, something we have been missing in the past. He is willing to take players on and go for goal. I am very excited to see all the Zion and accomplish on and off of the field here at Redeemer over the next few years. We are very excited that he joins us today with his club teammate and friend Kieran."
