Royals Women's Soccer plays to 1-1 draw versus Cambrian

ANCASTER, ON - The Redeemer University Women's Soccer team played to a 1-1 draw Thursday night versus the visiting Cambrian Golden Shield.
From the very beginning, it was evident that both teams were determined to secure a victory. In the 54th minute of the game, Cambrian rattled a shot off the crossbar, keeping the score tied 0-0 and showcasing Redeemer's defensive resilience.

The game continued to be fiercely contested, and in the 81st minute, Cambrian's Grace Cranston found the back of the net with a close-range shot, leveling the score at 1-1. Kaitlyn Pressely provided the assist for the Golden Shield.
Lilly Brown, Redeemer's fifth year starter, demonstrated her exceptional goalkeeping skills by recording four key saves throughout the match.
Redeemer unleashed a total of 12 shots, while Cambrian managed 11 shots. Redeemer also had an edge in shots on goal, with six compared to Cambrian's five.

The Royals next action is Saturday, August 26th at 3pm when they host St. Lawrence College.
