Redeemer women's soccer downs Bruins 4-1

OAKVILLE, ON - The OCAA No. 7 ranked Redeemer University women's soccer team improved their OCAA conference record to 1-0-1 after defeating the Sheridan Bruins by the score of 4-1 Thursday afternoon.
Third year forward
Esther DeHaan (Smithville, ON) led the way for the Royals registering two goals. With her two goals she moves into a tie for seventh all-time in Redeemer career scoring.
Second year midfielder
Emily Walraven (Burlington, ON) added her first of the regular season and sixth in her OCAA career moving her into sixth all-time at Redeemer. Third year
Ellie de Jong (Hamilton, ON) closed out the Royals scoring adding her first of the campaign. Assists went to third year
Ivana Kanisek (Mississauga, ON) and second year
Alyssa Simpson (Whitby, ON).
In goal. fifth year starter
Lilly Brown (Stoney Creek, ON) collected seven saves for the victory. Overall in 2023 she has posted a 2-1-2 record.
The Royals return to action Saturday September 16th at 2pm when they host the Lambton Lions.
