TORONTO, ON - The No. 13 nationally ranked Redeemer University women's soccer team played to a 2-2 draw versus the No. 8 ranked Humber Hawks Wednesday night on the road. The Royals remain undefeated in the OCAA West Division with a 2-0-2 record.
Humber opened the scoring 18 minutes into the opening half as Chantel Spalla setup Cara Santaguida for her first of the game.
Two minutes later, Redeemer would even the score 1-1 as third year
Ellie de Jong beat Humber goalkeeper Isabella Bernardi for her second goal of the regular season.
Emily Walraven added the assist.
To open the second half, the Royals would take a 2-1 lead as third year

In the 90th minute Humber's Santaguida buried a shot past the outstretchedÂ
Lilly Brown to even the score 2-2. In the 92nd minute, the Royals were called for a foul inside the 18 yard box. Humber missed wide left on the penalty kick as Redeemer escaped with one point on the road. The two teams have played to back-back-ties over the course of 11 days.
For the game, Brown registered 10 saves for the Royals while Humber starter Bernardi collected five saves for the draw.
The Royals return to action Friday, September 22nd when they host the St. Clair College Saints at David Mantel Field.
