Royals men's soccer falls to St. Clair 4-0

ANCASTER, ON - The Redeemer University men's soccer team dropped a 4-0 decision to the St. Clair College Saints Friday night in front of 210 fans at David Mantel Field. With the loss, the Royals fall to 1-4 in the OCAA West Division.

St. Clair got on the board first in the 14th minute as Massimo Pollard buried home a shot past the outstretched Royals first year starter Matthew Derks. 

After leading just 1-0 at the half, St. Clair answered with three second half goals just 21 minutes apart. In the 46th minute, Michael Zivcic setup Moussa Nizam. Zivcic would add another helper in the 56th minute, as he setup Tanner Page to make it 3-0. In the 67th minute, Zain Nizam would close out the scoring for St. Clair making the final 4-0.

St. Clair outshot Redeemer 18-15, despite the shots on goal being 9-9. St. Clair goalkeeper Jonathan Rondinelli turned aside all nine shots he faced. Redeemer starter Derks allowed three goals on nine shots for the loss.

The Royals next action is September 27th vs Mohawk Mountaineers at Tim Hortons Field.
