ANCASTER, ON  Royals Men's Basketball hosted the Niagara Knights Wednesday evening.  The Knights currently sit 3rd in the National Powerhouse conference of the OCAA West Division. Entering Wednesday's clash, the Knights were riding a 4 game win streak with no intention of slowing down. Despite the Knight's recent dominance, the Royals are coming off of their strongest weekend performances of the year and were hungry to shut the Knights down.

The Royals track-meet-styled defense was not enough to slow the Knights down. The Knights stormed to an early lead and did not look back. Niagara maintained a strong lead for the duration of the match, however, this did not prevent the Royals from pushing back. The Royals rallied several offensive bursts that had the R U Royal Family out of their seats and cheering. 

The Knights weathered the storm of the Royals till the final buzzer. The final score of the contest was Niagara Knights 85, Redeemer Royals 65.  

Royals Basketball is back at home on Wednesday, January 24th as they host the Conestoga Condors.
