CCAA Number One Humber Hawks Take Down Royals

ANCASTER, ON.  The number one team in the nation, the Humber Hawks came to David Mantel Field Wednesday night. Humber (6-0-1) sports another strong challenge for the Royals (4-2).

The Redeemer Royals got off to a quick start, applying great pressure on the Hawks. Royals forward Stephen Barnhoorn almost opened up the scoring while the official lifted the offside flag. Forty-five minutes of play saw the scoreboard untouched, 0-0 at the half.

Redeemer out-shot the Hawks in the first half and began to rally to close the half. The number one team in the country would not let the Royals hold them back. The Humber Hawks found the back of the net in the 72nd minute off of an own goal from the Royals. After the opening goal, the floodgates opened and the Hawks buried three more goals in seven minutes.
