ANCASTER, ON.  The Redeemer Royals were awarded their first-ever All-Americans in school history at the NCCAA Cross-Country National Championships. Thea Van Halteren and Ethan Kruisselbrink were both named All-Americans this weekend.

The Redeemer Royals traveled to Warsaw, IN for the NCCAA National Championships and did not return empty-handed. The Royals had an outstanding showing at this year's championships. Every Royals runner qualified for this year's event.

Leading the Royals was Senior stand-out Ethan Kruisselbrink. The Senior runner had an excellent final race as a Royal as he found himself on the podium in third place. Kruisselbrinks' third-place finish earned himself All-American honours. Also on the men's side were two other top-fifteen finishers, Denver Packalen (11) and Zach Braam (14). Matteo Cristiano also ran for the Royals and placed 48th.

On the women's side, Thea Van Halteren finished in seventh place. The seventh-place finish is the highest of Van Halteren's career. The senior's performance earned herself All-American honours.

The Redeemer Royals Cross-Country team had a historic showing at the NCCAA National Championships. It will say farewell to its three graduating seniors at the Redeemer Athletic Banquet later this school year.
