ANCASTER, ON. Royals basketball travelled to London, ON to face the Fanshawe Falcons Saturday afternoon. Redeemer University hosted a Royals on the Road event at Fanshawe College. Royals on the Road is a joint effort from various departments in the University aimed to connect with alumni, prospective students and the greater Redeemer Community over Royals away matches.

Karyn TeBrake, now a Fanshawe Falcon, was in the line-up.
Fanshawe opened up the match leading after the first quarter of action 20-14. Despite the Royals recording more rebounds in the first quarter, they trailed by six.
Redeemer flipped a switch and got the momentum back in their favour. Thanks to
Abigail Hoogland posting a team-high four points in the second quarter, the Royals entered halftime tied at 33. The Royals shot 100% from behind the arc in the first half of action.
The third quarter got underway and the Royals were not able to continue their outstanding first-half shooting performance. The Falcons capitalized on the Royal missed shots and took a five-point lead into the final quarter.
Fanshawe's defense helped close out the match holding the Royals to a game-low seven points in the fourth quarter. The Royals drop their fourth of the season to the Fanshawe Falcons on the road. In all four matches, the Royals have been within striking distance entering the fourth quarter.
Leading the way for the Royals was third-year forward
Talia Vreugdenhil. The forward recorded a game-high 14 points adding on 8 rebounds.
The Royals look ahead to Friday when they host the St. Clair Saints.
