Panthers Defeat Royals 103-98 in OT Thriller

ANCASTER, ON.  The Royals made the trek to North Bay, ON to face the Canadore Panthers on Saturday afternoon. Redeemer and Canadore are in a four-team battle for final playoff positions. Although it is still early in the season, head-to-head matches have significant impacts on the standings.

The opening quarter had the score tied 24-24. Brendan Morris was a spark off of the bench again for the Royals. Morris went 3/3 from behind the arc in the first quarter.

Redeemer found their groove in the second quarter and found themselves leading by 1 at halftime. Despite being Canadore's 10 more rebounds than the Royals, Redeemer was able to stay in front.

Saturday's match was close for the full 40 minutes. There were sixteen lead changes and twenty-three ties in the score.

Redeemer held onto their one-point lead into the fourth quarter. Canadore was determined to capture their first win and fought all game long. Canadore was able to tie the game in the fourth quarter and send the game to overtime.

Canadore was able to gain a slight lead and carry it to the buzzer. The Royals fell 103-98 on the road.
