ANCASTER, ON. Redeemer cross country travelled to Seneca for their second meet of the season. The Royals looked to build off of their solid opening performance last weekend.

Thea Van Halteren took the spotlight this week with a Redeemer top finish at 11th.  Van Halteren posted a 4:48 pace/km. The senior runner improved in two categories in this week's event. Thea improved by seven positions in the finishing rankings, four seconds off her pace/km. Van Halteren will look to continue these improvements and crack the top ten next week.

On the men's side, three Royals stepped up to the start line. Rookie sensation Denver Packalen took the lead for the Royals with his 14th-place finish. Zach Braam was close behind in his first race of the season in 19th. Matteo Cristiano rounded out the men's runners finishing in 47th.

Redeemer will travel to London next weekend for their third event of the year. The Royals will be hosted by the Fanshawe Falcons at the Fanshawe Conservation Area. The women's race will start at 11:00 am and the men's at noon.
