Senior Night Sweep For Men's Volleyball

ANCASTER, ON. The Redeemer Royals Men's Volleyball team delivered a strong performance on their home court, sweeping the Boreal Vipers 3-0 with set scores of 25-22, 25-15, and 25-18. The Royals controlled the match from start to finish, led by senior Ben Siebenga, whose powerful play and leadership carried Redeemer to a convincing win. First-year setter Ben Brouwer also shined in his debut season, putting up a stellar 27 assists and 5 service aces to help guide the team to victory.

The opening set was a hard-fought battle, with both teams exchanging points early. The Vipers pushed the Royals, but Redeemer kept their composure and eventually pulled ahead, winning 25-22. Ben Siebenga was a key factor in the Royals' success, delivering big points at critical moments and helping his team maintain the momentum.

With the first set under their belt, Redeemer came out in the second set with more confidence and momentum. They raced to a 25-15 victory, dominating both offensively and defensively. Siebenga continued to lead by example, putting down kills at crucial moments and finishing with a .316 hitting percentage on the night.

By the third set, Redeemer was fully in control, cruising to a 25-18 win to close out the sweep. With a strong collective effort, Redeemer sealed the win and finished off the Vipers in straight sets.

Saturday's match was also senior night for the men's volleyball program. The Royals had the privilege of celebrating four graduating athletes. Caleb Joosse (2020-2025), Ben Siebenga (2021-2025), Carsen Grim (2021-2025) and Derick Breukelman (2020,2022-2025) have each made a tremendous impact on the Men's volleyball program. The Royals wish all our graduating athletes the best in their future endeavours.
