ANCASTER, ON -The Redeemer Royals women's soccer team saw their season come to a close on Saturday afternoon, falling 4–0 to the CCAA nationally ranked No. 3 and OCAA No. 1 Seneca Sting in the OCAA Quarterfinal.
The Royals entered the match looking to make a statement against one of the top programs in the country, marking their second consecutive appearance in the OCAA Quarterfinal. Despite a strong defensive effort and stretches of organized play, the Sting showed why they are among the elite, capitalizing on their chances to secure the win.
It was a competitive showing from Redeemer, who continued to build on the program's growth after another postseason run. Both the Royals and Sting were among the OCAA's top four teams last season, setting the stage for a rematch that once again showcased high-level soccer.
With another quarterfinal appearance under their belt, the Royals close out the year with plenty to be proud of and a solid foundation to build on heading into next season.
