ANCASTER, ON - The Redeemer Royals men's volleyball team earned a convincing 3–0 victory over the visiting Sheridan Bruins on Wednesday night. Fueled by an energetic home crowd, the Royals took the match in straight sets by scores of 26–24, 25–19, and 25–17.
Fifth-year outside hitter
Jared Prinsloo was a standout performer for Redeemer, delivering a well-rounded effort from start to finish. Prinsloo was dominant from the service line, recording five aces and keeping constant pressure on the Bruins' serve receive. Offensively, he tallied 7 kills on 13 attempts with just two errors, good for a .385 hitting percentage, and led all players with 12 total points.
Second-year middle
Silas Breukelman also made a strong impact, finishing with 5 kills on 8 attempts with two errors for a .375 hitting percentage. His efficiency in the middle was key to the Royals' success
After a tight opening set that saw Redeemer edge out Sheridan 26–24, the Royals settled into their rhythm, controlling the pace in the second and third sets. The match concluded in emphatic fashion as
Caleb Bosveld sealed the win with a solo stuff block, sending the Redeemer crowd into celebration.
