Royals Secure Five Set Victory Over Knights

ANCASTER, ON - The Redeemer Royals delivered one of their most impressive performances of the season on Friday night, taking down the visiting Niagara Knights in a dramatic five-set battle in front of a packed and energized home crowd.

The Royals dominated the opening set 25–14, capitalizing on a flurry of Niagara hitting errors and riding the momentum of a loud, standing-room-only gym.

Redeemer kept the pressure on in the second set. In a tightly contested frame, the Royals found the late push they needed, stealing the set and taking full control of the match with a 2–0 lead.

But the Knights refused to go away.

Niagara responded with a resilient third set, edging Redeemer 25–23, and then carried that momentum into the fourth, taking it 25–19 to force a deciding fifth set. Despite dropping back-to-back sets, the Royals remained composed. The home crowd rose to its feet as Redeemer reset, refocused, and prepared for a final push.

The fifth set belonged entirely to the Royals.

Feeding off the energy of the gym, Redeemer stormed ahead early and never looked back, securing the set 15–8 and sealing a statement victory over one of the conference's strongest teams.

Kate DeJong delivered another standout performance, posting a game-high 23 points along with 13 digs to anchor both the offense and defense. Setter Alana DeJong was equally impressive, running the Royals' attack with poise and racking up 40 assists on the night.
