ANCASTER, ON - The Redeemer Royals are pleased to announce the commitment of Sophia Collazos, a libero from London, Ontario, who will join the Women's Volleyball program next season. Collazos attends Catholic Central High School and has spent the past six years developing with the Forest City Volleyball Club.

Over her club and high school career, Collazos has earned several recognitions, including being a two-time recipient of the OVA Award of Excellence and a two-time recipient of the Dedication Award. She lists the TVRAA Finals in 2023 as a personal highlight and was named CCH Junior Girls MVP. She has also been involved with the OVAAC Board, reflecting her commitment to the sport both on and off the court.

For Collazos, Redeemer immediately felt like the right place. "When I first stepped into the Redeemer campus, it instantly felt filled with a sense of community. I am most excited to be surrounded by students who value community. Being a part of the Royal Family will be my home away from home, and I do not doubt for a second that Redeemer is going to do great things for me by giving me friends, coaches, and professors who will change my life."

Faith will also play a central role in her journey as a student-athlete. "As a student-athlete, I believe sports are an outward expression of how blessed we are to be living beings capable of being there for each other and glorifying the Lord above any wins, losses, or titles. I will use my faith to impact my time at Redeemer by being a living example of the Lord's never-ending love every day."

The Royals are excited to welcome Sophia Collazos to the program and look forward to having her on campus in the fall of 2026.
