WINDSOR, ON. Despite a tough 124-85 loss to the St. Clair Saints, the Redeemer Royals showed heart and determination throughout the game, with standout performances that highlighted their potential moving forward.
The Saints came out strong from the very beginning, ending the first quarter with a 36-17 lead, and maintaining that momentum throughout the game. By halftime, St. Clair had built a commanding 70-37 lead. The Royals, however, continued to battle, refusing to back down despite the heavy deficit.
In the third quarter, the Royals showed signs of resilience and determination, even as St. Clair continued to extend their lead, reaching 107-57 by the end of the frame. Redeemer's offence never stopped pushing, with the Royals making several strong drives to the basket and continuing to take shots with confidence.
One of the biggest bright spots for Redeemer came in the form of guard
Parker Davis, who set a new career-high with 34 points. Davis was aggressive throughout, attacking the basket with confidence and knocking down crucial shots to keep his team competitive.
Though the final score wasn't what the Royals had hoped for, they showed promising individual performances and a refusal to quit. Redeemer concludes the 24-25 season and will look to build on this year's work in the fall.Â
