SCARBOROUGH, ON. The Redeemer Royals delivered a flawless performance to take down the Centennial Colts 3-0 (25-20, 25-21, 25-19) in the OCAA Cross-over round. The Royals, entering Saturday's match as the West 7th seed, dominated the East 2nd seed from the first serve, leaving the Colts stunned and unable to mount a comeback.
Redeemer was firing on all cylinders, posting an incredible .481 hitting percentage. Their offence was relentless, and the Colts had no answer for the Royals' precision and power at the net. The Royals recorded 16 blocks as a team in three sets. Every set felt like a display of pure dominance from the Royals, who controlled the pace and tempo of the game.
The Colts struggled to break through Redeemer's defense, which remained impenetrable throughout. The Royals' block was sharp, and their passing kept them in high percentage offensive opportunities.

Caleb Joosse, who was nearly untouchable, finishing with 7 kills and a blistering .700 hitting percentage. Joose added five service aces and two blocks for a total 14 points. Setter
Davis Young was equally impressive, collecting 28 assists and orchestrating the offence with pinpoint accuracy.
Over the first round of OCAA playoffs, all eight OCAA West teams won their cross-over against the East Division. The women's side, only won East division team advanced to the OCAA quarter-finals totaling a 15-1 West Division weekend record. This dominance reinforces that the OCAA West is one of the toughest divisions in the CCAA.
Royals men's volleyball is set to face a familiar foe in the OCAA quarter-finals. Redeemer will square off against the Fanshawe Falcons in London, ON. on Saturday, February 15th at 3:00 PM for a spot in the OCAA semi-finals. The Royals and Falcons split the season series 1-1, each winning at home. The last time the two sides met in OCAA playoffs was the OCAA quarter-final in 2023 hosted by Fanshawe. The Royals fell 3-0 in this matchup.
Redeemer will look to find themselves in another OCAA medal match with a win over the Falcons. The Royals had won six OCAA medals in twelve seasons (09-21) and look to continue their program's success by earning another.
