ANCASTER, ON - Hayden Fernhout, a left-winger, has officially joined the Redeemer Royals Hockey team. Fernhout makes the transition from the Calvin Knights, where he previously played for Calvin University's ACHA D3 team. 

During his time with the Calvin Knights, Fernhout played 22 games, recording 10 goals and 7 assists, which culminated in a total of 17 points and a points-per-game average of 0.77. 

Fernhout expressed his excitement about joining the Royals, stating, "It's exciting to play the game that I love while being part of a team where faith comes first, where we push each other to grow both on the ice and in our walk with God."

As Fernhout embarks on this new chapter, he remains committed to integrating his faith into his athletic journey. He shared, "I want my faith to shape how I play, how I treat others, and how I handle both wins and losses. My goal is to reflect Christ in everything I do and encourage others to do the same."

The incoming athlete joins an eager Royals roster to return to the ice this fall.
