CAMBRIDGE, ON – The Redeemer Royals men's soccer team ventured up to Cambridge to take on the Conestoga Condors on Thursday night.
Coming off a big win against Mohawk, the Royals were looking to keep the momentum going and end the regular season strong.
This game would be a defensive clash that would not see much action either way. The Royals would have their chances, earning themselves four corner kicks in the first half, but could not convert.
The score would be 0-0 heading into halftime.
The second half was much like the first; with the teams still figuring each other out. The Royals would have six more corner opportunities to Conestoga's one, but nothing was doing either way.
The game would end in a 0-0 draw, with Sam Barnhoorn picking up the shutout in his second game back this season.
The teams also tied in shots (11-11) and saves (3-3). A closely contested affair gets them another point in the standings.
The Royals will end their regular season campaign on Saturday, October 17, when they travel to Oakville to play the Sheridan Bruins at 2:15pm.
