Winnipeg Native Set to Join Royals Hockey

ANCASTER, ON - The Redeemer Royals are excited to announce the signing of defenseman Daniel Masters, who will join the program for the upcoming season.

A native of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Masters brings a strong mix of experience and leadership to the Royals' blue line. He developed through the Vincent Massey Collegiate program before continuing his career at the junior level with the Lundar Falcons. Over three seasons with the Falcons, Masters recorded 54 points (23 goals, 31 assists) in 89 games, establishing himself as a reliable two-way defenseman.

During his time in Lundar, Masters was part of a record-setting 2024–25 season for the franchise and was recognized for his leadership, serving as an Alternate Captain in his final year. He also earned CRJHL All-Star honours, highlighting his impact on the ice.

Masters is looking forward to continuing both his athletic and personal growth at Redeemer, drawn to the strong sense of community within the program.

"What excites me most about being a part of the Royal Family is the Christian community I will be surrounded by during the year and throughout the hockey season," said Masters. "I'm excited to continue my hockey career in a Christian environment while competing for a national championship."

Off the ice, Masters is committed to living out his faith in his daily interactions.

"I will be using my faith to impact my friends, classmates, and my opponents on the ice by demonstrating good fruits and being someone whose light shines through on a day-to-day basis," he added.

The Royals look forward to welcoming Daniel to campus and are excited about the experience, leadership, and character he will bring to the program.
