ANCASTER, ON - The Redeemer Royals Men's Hockey program is excited to welcome defenceman Cole Nieman to the RU Royal Family.

A native of St. Thomas, Ontario, Nieman joins the Royals after graduating from London Christian High School. He spent the majority of his minor hockey career with the St. Thomas Stars (AA), where he developed into a dependable leader and was named captain during his final U18 season.

In addition to his success on the ice, Nieman is also an accomplished lacrosse player. He has competed with the London Jr. B Blue Devils and the Six Nations Arrows Jr. A program, bringing valuable experience from competing at a high level in multiple sports.

For Nieman, the opportunity to become part of the Redeemer community was a major factor in his decision.

"I would say one of the biggest things for me stepping into the next part of my journey at Redeemer is definitely the community that I will be involved in."

As he begins his university career, Nieman is looking forward to allowing his faith to shape both his athletic and academic experience.

"I think my faith will help me live a life with discipline and integrity. As both an athlete and student at Redeemer, I hope to lead by example and encourage others through sport and my daily life."

The Royals are excited to welcome Cole to the program and look forward to seeing the leadership, discipline, and character he will bring both on and off the ice.
