Biography

Entering her third year at Redeemer, Annika Brink established herself as a key member of the women’s XC team, through her continued dedication during the 2020 lockout year, and subsequently raked up several achievements during her first season in 2021.
These achievements include finishing 18
th at the OCAA championships to qualify for the CCAA Nationals, where she ran a PB of 26:31, and receiving the Royals Female Student Athlete of the Year award.
Hailing from Ipswich, Massachusetts, Brink is studying International Development, with aspirations to enter the non-profit sector or do development work with a global organization.
Outside of competitive running, Brink is passionate about service in the community. Having been involved since her first year at Redeemer, she is now a co-leader of the club DEEDZ, which is focused on, ‘sharing conversation and hot chocolate with people on the streets of downtown Hamilton.’
What is your favourite thing about running?
“The uplifting running community.”
