Fifth-year left side Curtiss Straatsma (Brampton) scored her 1,240th career point, establishing a new all-time OCAA record in women's volleyball. Straatsma surpassed Cambrian's Shawna Metcalf who set the previous record of 1,239 during the 2012-13 season. Straatsma is poised to become the all-time OCAA kills leader, needing 36 to break Metcalf's record of 960.

November 2014
It was another stellar display of volleyball for veteran Curtiss Straatsma over the month of November. The Lady Royals ran a record of 3-2 in the month as Straatsma placed herself in the top 3 in scoring in the OCAA. With a 29 and 22 point performance in two of their victories, it is obvious that when Curtiss is rolling, the Lady Royals have the potential to be unstoppable.

Fourth-year right side Curtiss Straatsma (Brampton, Ont.) led Redeemer to a pair of five-set victories. She had her best statistical performance of the early season at Fanshawe with 21 kills, five aces and three blocks for 29 points. She followed this up with 22 points on 17 kills, four aces and a block at St. Clair.
