Coach Meaghan Rudd enters her sixth season with the Redeemer Royals Women’s Soccer program and her fourth as Head Coach. During her tenure, she has guided the program through a remarkable transformation, leading the Royals to consistent success in the highly competitive OCAA West Division. Known for her passion, leadership, and Christ-centred approach to coaching, Rudd has established a culture built on resilience, discipline, and servant leadership.
A proud Redeemer alumna, Rudd played four seasons for the Royals, serving as team captain beginning in her second year and earning OCAA All-Star honours twice. Her own journey as a student-athlete continues to shape her coaching philosophy, which emphasizes not only technical and tactical growth but also personal development and character formation.
Since stepping into the head coaching role, Rudd has compiled a 17-5-8 regular season record, highlighted by a standout 2024–25 season in which the Royals posted a 7-1-2 mark, captured the OCAA West Division Championship, and advanced to the OCAA Bronze Medal Final. That same year, the Royals earned recognition as the OCAA West’s Best Defensive Team, a testament to the program’s growth and discipline under her leadership.
Her achievements have not gone unnoticed. In 2024, Rudd was named OCAA Women’s Soccer Coach of the Year, OCAA West Coach of the Year, and earned the prestigious honour of CCAA Women’s Soccer Coach of the Year. She has also been instrumental in the development of her players, with athletes earning national and provincial recognition while competing under her and her staff's guidance.
Rudd continues to lead the Royals with a vision that goes beyond wins and losses. Her commitment to excellence, character, and spiritual growth ensures that Redeemer’s women’s soccer program is not only competitive on the field but also impactful in shaping leaders for impact.
