Ed Bosveld joined the Royals women's volleyball coaching staff in 2022. He has 30 years of volleyball coaching experience, ranging from youth development programs to high school to club teams. He is a founder of the Ancaster Lions Volleyball Club where he has coached all age groups, from 12U to 18U, and currently coaches 18U boys. He previously coached with the Chatham Ballhawks volleyball club. Ed helped to start the boys' volleyball program at Chatham Christian High School, and has also coached boys' and girls' teams at Westmount Secondary School and Guido de Bres Christian High School.

Ed is a certified Development Coach (indoor and beach), certified Advanced Development Coach (indoor), trained Advanced Development Coach (beach), and in-training Performance Coach (indoor.) He is also a certified volleyball referee.

Ed holds a B.A. (Honours History, Political Science) from Redeemer University and an M.B.A. from the University of Windsor. He previously served as Redeemer's Vice-President of Administration and Finance and currently works for the federal government in refugee protection. He was the 2016 recipient of Redeemer's Distinguished Alumni Award. Ed currently teaches Law and Public Policy in Redeemer's Politics and International Studies program as well as Fundamentals of Volleyball in the Kinesiology program.
