During the indoor season, Kendall Straatsma became one of the teams best ‘shut down’ defensemen. What made Kendall extremely effective this season was her timing and control into challenges, rarely did she concede a foul, or not come out of a challenge with the ball. This ability to produce turnovers aided the women's indoor offence which Kendall also found herself a part of scoring many timely goals. Her ability as a two way defenseman was a crucial part of the team’s success at Regionals.
