Women's Basketball player Jesseca Brown led the Redeemer Royals to a 1-1 record in the month of October ending the team's 7 year losing streak. In just her first year as a Redeemer Royal, Brown is proving that she is a huge offensive threat in the OCAA.

In the two games in October, Jesseca scored a game-high 29 points and added 11 rebounds in their 75-45 win over Sault and scored 23 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in a one-point loss at Algoma.

The team followed up their first win with another one week later as they defeated the Sheridan Bruins in the Royals home opener.

Jesseca was named the OCAA Athlete of the week for the week of October 22-28.
