Redeemer's men's and women's volleyball teams return home Friday night for their second home games of the season after one game away at Niagara College this past week. The women's team fell in 4 (3-1) 22-25, 25-17, 25-20, 25-16 while the men's team picked up their first win of the season defeating the Knights 3-0 (25-12, 25-20, 25-16).
The Lady Royals fell to 0-2 in league play against a tough Niagara team (recently named #5 in the province).
Curtiss Straatsma (Brampton, ON) led the Royals offensively with 12 points.

Ashley Muller (Oakville, ON), and Curtiss Straatsma all recorded double digit numbers in digs.
The men's team were able to put away the Knights with relative ease winning 3-0 (25-12, 25-20, 25-16).
Aaron Vanderlugt (Burlington, ON) had a game high 9 points on a night where 11 of the 12 Redeemer players registered at least 1 offensive point.
Bradley Kooy (Schomberg, ON) led the team defensively with 11 digs.
The Royals now turn their attention to two big games on Friday night as the Sheridan Bruins visit the Royals gym. The women get things going at 6pm while the men will follow at 8pm.
