Soccer teams struggle in home finales

The Royals hit their home field last night in the final home games of the season. Their opponent was the Humber College Hawks from Etobicoke, ON. the Hawks got their first taste of playing at the Royals new sports complex and took full advantage.

Both Redeemer women's and men's teams were on the losing side of shutout losses with the Lady Royals falling 6-0 and the men's team dropping a 4-0 decision. The women's team record drops to 0-4-2 while the men slip to 0-6-0.

Home field has not been kind to the Royals in 2012 as the women's team finishes with 1 point in 4 games at home while the men's team failed to pick up a point over the 4 games.

The soccer teams will wrap up their season on the road as they travel to Sheridan College on Saturday September 29th and Niagara College on Thursday October 4th.

The next competition to be played at the Royals field will be on October 27th-28th when Redeemer plays host to the 2012 OCAA Men's Soccer Championship.
